Step into Spring in Style.

Some of my runway favorites for spring from where I will be seeking inspiration.

Sloppy, loose layers featuring fabrics of different textures.  A go-to for the comfort in style days.
Loving the red coral shades and gray to neutral color pallet.
ACNE

Chic, flow, and brilliant white. Embraced by quite a few designers this season.
Alexander Wang
Alice & Olivia
Bold, crisp colors.  I wasn't a big fan of all the stripes I saw on the runway (ahem, Prada), but I do love this look from Bally.  It feels a bit like the Celine Collection to me..

Prints were hot on the runway, and it was all about the clash.  I do love a good clash, but be sure to step into the wild with caution.
Blumarine

Not a big fan of what was on Chanel's runway, it felt like a fall re-do for me.  However, these two looks did appeal to me.

I loved the chic simplicity from Chloe!

why i love new york city.

Just a week shy of Christmas I was able to check off one last 2010 goal I had set for myself.  Visit New York City.  It was just a quick two and half day visit, but it was every bit amazing. What I loved most..

#1 FAV: THE PEOPLE & THE FASHION.

#2 FAV: THE SUBWAY
There several moments of confusion, and I did catch the wrong subway train on more than one occasion.  But really, it is amazing.  I felt like a true city girl hopping on and off the L to the 6, etc etc.  I'd rather take the subway over driving my car any day of the week.  Not only can you sit and read, but there is an abundance of fabulously dressed people to observe and admire.

#3 FAV: MoMA & the MoMA DESIGN STORES.
Yes I went to both (the one across the street from the museum and one in Soho).
I decided the only thing more interesting then the art itself, was watching others as they observed the pieces.

#3 FAV: THE SHOPPING.
I tried to keep it to a minimum, considering the fact that my arms would not be able to carry too much to the airport.  But with Christmas right around the corner, I picked up a few small things for the family and well, a couple practical presents for myself.

Bloomingdale's was fabulous.  I found two too many cute things, and one I just couldn't resist.  My new MARK by Mark Jacob's bag.  It's the perfect giant black bag I've been searching for, for years!  AND, it was a necessity because the bag I brought with me was falling apart, literally.
TOPSHOP, by the way, is everything you want and more.  Wouldn't say quality is up to par with the prices, of course what is these days.  Regardless, it was three floors of fun, and of course I couldn't leave without a souvenir.  Here's the dress I bought.
I loved this skirt, but would prefer one that isn't static's best friend.

#5 FAV: THE STREETS.

One day, I decided, I will live in the Big Apple.  It's just one more thing to look forward to!
